Cardiovascular Nutrition and the Long View
Cardiovascular health is measured in decades. That timescale changes which nutritional decisions actually matter.
Cardiovascular biology is unusually patient. Endothelial function, lipid handling and vascular compliance change slowly, shaped by conditions that persist for years rather than by any single intervention. That timescale should be the first filter applied to any nutritional decision made in this area.
It reframes what counts as effective. A short intensive protocol that cannot be sustained contributes very little to a system that responds to sustained conditions. A modest daily input maintained for a decade contributes a great deal. Consistency is not a lesser substitute for intensity here, it is the mechanism itself.
